If you are a parent browsing out here, I'd bet you are very interested in what your children are involved in at First Church Youth! We intend this website to be a reliable resource of information for you about youth ministry at First Church. The website has a calendar and information about upcoming events,  and parental permission forms for camps and other youth events.

The mission of First Church’s Youth Ministry is to:

REACH  students in our community, help them CONNECT with other Christian youth so that they can GROW in their faith, DISCOVER their gifts, and HONOR God with their lives.

We are committed to partnering with you in helping your children connect with God so they will discover what it means to live an authentic Christian life. We help kids connect with the Christian life in a variety of ways. Connecting kids with other Christian kids helps them develop Christian community. Nurturing them in Word of God helps kids apply His word to their daily lives and to discover all that God intends for them.  As they experience community and the Word of God, students will soon discover the love of God, and experience God's forgiveness and grace, and salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Students at First Church can participate in numerous activities and local events throughout the year which are designed to be fun and nurturing at the same time. We have a weekly youth worship at 9:15 each Sunday morning to praise God featuring our own youth praise band.  We offer small groups for Middle and High School students on Wednesday nights for Bible study and fellowship.  We also offer a number of other outreach activities throughout the year, as well as local mission trips to help students learn to be God’s servants. In the summer months we plan longer mission trips to help them share the love of God, summer camps, and other local events to experience the joy of life God intended for us all.

Our ministry team is staffed by an exceptional group of dedicated adult volunteers -- parents of our youth who love Jesus and who love working with kids. The team meets regularly and works hard to plan events which meet the goals and mission statement of youth ministry.

If you are looking for opportunities for your children to be involved in a Bible based, nurturing youth program, we invite you to come check us out for yourselves. If you desire to be a part of a team which affects the lives of children for the kingdom of God -- we are happy to have you on our team.
